Our roadtrip of the turkish mainland is coming to an end. We have had a couple of long bus rides and seen some parts of this beatiful country. We have also, at stops along the roads met refugees on their way towards Europe. A young man from Iran who sat next to me on the bus was going to an interveiw at the american consulate in Gide. We are now in Taşucu waiting for the ferry to Cyprus. We have earlier been to Capadocia and also skiing in Ercieyes! The contrasts are generally big, but sitting in a modern skilift surrounded by white mountains gave a strong sens of familiarity.
We now look forward to some sun in Cyprus before heading off to London to meet family.
